Lucid Exploration and Well-written

A great book for those interested in literary history, Keats, or sexuality and literature. Compared to most scholarly writing, it’s very readable, even witty. The first chapter on Keats biography will entertain anybody who reads 19th-century literature. There are also fine intense chapters on Keats and Matthew Arnold, Tennyson, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Walter Pater, the neglected John Addington Symonds, and Wilfred Owen.
